Dear Neighbors,

The Examiner News recently reported on the October 12th meeting of the White Plains Council of Neighborhood Associations (WPCNA). At the meeting, members of several neighborhood associations met to discuss the impact of potential Marijuana Dispensaries and Consumption Sites in White Plains.

Most of our neighboring communities conducted a Public Hearing or Forum on the matter to discern community feelings and then the governing body voted whether to opt-out in permitting cannabis recreational dispensaries and lounges. Interestingly, most have decided to opt-out.

Mayor Roach and the Common Council have not yet taken a public position on this issue, nor have they held a meeting to allow White Plains residents to express their views on this topic.

Thank you,

The Gedney Association
