If you missed the March 4th public hearing, don’t worry – there’s still time to make your voice heard! The discussion on the Comprehensive Plan, particularly its impact on single-family zoning, began at the 16-minute mark of the hearing. You can view the hearing by clicking HERE.
The Common Council is accepting written comments until March 18th. This is a critical opportunity for us to weigh in on proposed changes that could significantly affect our neighborhoods.
Many residents are deeply concerned about the Draft Plan update. It represents a radical departure from the existing Comprehensive Plan, introducing significant changes to land use and zoning. The City’s proposal includes increasing densities citywide and restructuring zoning in traditional single-family neighborhoods, which goes against the longstanding goal of preserving the unique character of our City’s neighborhoods.
Your input is crucial in shaping the future of our community! We urge you to email members of the Common Council, Planning Board, and City Staff to express your concerns and advocate for preserving single-family zoning.
Please inform your neighbors about the Draft Plan if they do not receive our e-blasts.
