We’d like to share an important article from the Westfair Business Journal, a source of information for the business community in White Plains and Westchester. The article highlights significant resistance from White Plains residents regarding the One Comprehensive Plan, posing challenges for the City.
The Gedney Association has played a crucial role in raising awareness about this issue. We’ve made progress by:
Engaging with CNA
Alerting Gedney Farms residents
Informing the wider resident population about upcoming Public Hearings
We urge members to read the draft plan and consider its potential adverse impact on our neighborhood and City if given serious consideration by the Common Council. While we’ve made strides in mobilizing other associations and residents, we must continue advocating with the Common Council and City staff. Regrettably to date no Common Council member has opposed the draft plan despite significant opposition from residents of the City.
